The modern museum experience shares the legacy and celebrates Toronto's storied history and impact on the international music scene — the foundation of music that continues to today. A multipurpose space that supports programming, exhibits, education, and activities for children, youth, and young adults — able to break into smaller spaces for artist-in-residence programs, rehearsals, and intimate concerts.
TME as host and collaborator for exhibits and live events, where the stories took place and meeting the audience where they live - amplified through program partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and institutions. Strengthening and building organizational relationships, partnerships, connections, and community outreach — working with the community to be part of Toronto's music future.
Over the next five years, we will execute our bold plan to build an extraordinary multicultural music legacy — one that empowers communities, inspires audiences, and nurtures the next generation of artists.
Our first phase (2027–2030) will take the Toronto Music Experience beyond traditional walls—bringing its story directly into communities through creative, immersive, and unexpected formats.
Generations before us didn’t always get their flowers, but this is our moment to change that. We deserve to celebrate our art, our legacy, and our impact—right here at home. And just as important, we need to build a space where the next generation knows their contributions will be honored, too. Toronto’s music history is rich, and it’s time we give it a home.
